To launch the new Air Force 1 models inspired by women who are uplifting their communities, Nike decided to cut through a very upsetting noise: the misogyny in hip-hop culture.
By joining forces with the women's retail chain "Authentic Feet", we took rap battles - a street metaphor for verbal abuse - and twisted it: instead of taking each other down, women lifted each other.
